Small-office cleaning in Chicago, after hours
Kinzie sends two-person night crews to small offices around Chicago. Every night ends the same way: the alarm is set, the door is locked and you get a text that says so.
The night shift
Your staff went home at six. Here is the night in order, so you always know who is in your office and when.
One text with a name and a time. Your office manager knows who is in the building before the lights come on.
With the code you gave us, never one we chose. The door locks behind the crew.
Every bin emptied and relined. Counters, sink, microwave and floor cleaned. What is in your fridge stays there.
Restocked and cleaned, then high-touch surfaces disinfected with an EPA-registered product, used as its label says.
Cleared desks wiped, papers left where they are. Carpet vacuumed, hard floors mopped last, a wet-floor sign at the door.
The lead walks the checklist, flags anything that needs you, sets the alarm and texts your contact the time it was set.
Times are from a typical night in a 3,000 sq ft office with two cleaners; yours go on your scope sheet.
Keys, codes and alarms
Offices worry about the code before they worry about the cleaning. So the rules are in writing before the first night.
You choose the code and you can change it any day.
We never write it down, text it or type it into a form.
One code per crew lead, so retiring one never touches the others.
If the alarm trips, the lead calls your contact and waits outside.
The door is locked and the alarm set before the crew leaves.

What we clean
Getting started
A supervisor walks the office with you, counts rooms, notes floors and asks what is off limits.
A scope sheet by room and a fixed monthly price for the nights on it. No figure is given over the phone.
The same two people come each night, and the lead texts you first if a name ever changes.
Who has your code
You will have the number of one supervisor, and you will know the lead's name before the first night.

From offices
“The first week I texted Kamilah twice just to see if the crew was in. Now the text at 11:50 is how I know the door is locked, and I stopped asking.”
“We have client files in the open on desks in March. They asked what we wanted wiped and what stayed put, and wrote it on the scope sheet. Nothing has moved.”
“A pipe let go over the break room one night. Marcos sent a photo before sunrise and our landlord had a plumber there by eight.”

Where the crews go
Most of our offices are in the Loop, River North, the West Loop, Lincoln Park, Logan Square and Glenview, with a run out to Oak Park and Elmhurst.
We don't take offices south of I-55, in northwest Indiana or in the Fox Valley.
By square footage, nights a week, floor types, restrooms and access. A supervisor sees the office first, and the quote lists each night.
A crew of two, named on your account. If a name changes, the lead texts your contact before the shift.
Only for the walkthrough. After that we need a code or a key, held under the rules on the keys and alarms page.
Call the office number. Weeknights, from 8 p.m. until the last crew locks up, it rings the shift supervisor.
Yes, and the certificate shows the limits. We send it to your office manager or landlord on request.

A supervisor calls within one business day to set up the walkthrough.
